Last week attended seminar held by Dr Siti Nabiha from School Of Management, USM. A very good talk deliver by her in viewing the flavor of qualitative research work. Very Comprehensive and intensive class due to many activities involved in this seminar.

What motivate U in your study?
Reasons: Syntheses coherence, progressive coherence or Non-Coherence.
To use qualitative research must believe different camp of thinking in research
1) State Camp Of Thinking Philoshophy - reason different view of seeing things (positivism, post-modernism etc)
2) Well plan of research design
- everthing should be prepare earlier b4 conducted survey. Siapa nak ditemuduga, berapa ramai dll. Make sure equipment ready to be used. During interview the gadget is ready such as batteries spare etc
3) Tips during fields work - in quali research the researcher is an instruments
- if doing survey in the organisation make sure come earlier so that we can feel the working environment overthere, chat with the steno or secretary, at least 2 person per day to be interviewed so that the researcher can organize their work n playback record. Look every angle of sources such as buletin or newsletter in the company. Seek permission for recording but better take a note first then give reason that u cannot cope to write n hear at the same time. List what to be done. letter of consent. MAKE SURE DONT ACT LIKE AN EXPERT..u go there as a learner n be prepare to change an immediate research plan if things suddenly change..Be professional stranger
- Make sure after finished interviewed or come back from research work, update data immediately to avoid problem in future...always put name to yr case.
4) Data analysis - coding based on themes, texts...think n rethink relate to philosophy of thinking and clear justification
